How Titanfall changed my mind and earned me $5 at Gamescom

I don’t hold much faith in first person shooters these days. The last FPS I played that I truly enjoyed would have been Bad Company 2 and I can split that enjoyment 50/50 between it being a good game and the people I was playing with. That opinion however, changed whilst I was in Germany.

Opinion: On Rogue Legacy and Coprolalia

Roguelikes have always been a thing of niche appeal, as their difficulty and unforgiving nature had a way of making people run away in terror. Camelot Unchained – Carving Out a Niche in Your Oldschool Heart

With most MMOs turning to action oriented combat as the next big thing to help convince people to part with their money, it’s interesting to see a developer doing very much the opposite. City State Entertainement are thus looking to take their upcoming medieval fantasy MMORPG Camelot Unchained back to the days when games were hard and PvP was something that happened to you, and not something you just queue for.

Gamescom: A story of German love.

I’d heard rumours beforehand that Gamescom was going to be very big, very loud and a lot more “business” based than other expo’s. I prepared myself in every way I could, and it was still not enough.
